How to write a cause and effect essay

This is a type of essay where a student is supposed to write about why certain things happen and explain its results. It is a type of essay that analyses how one effect can arise from a particular cause. Such an essay is important because it helps a student to understand why certain things and events took place in the past and how they affect the present. When writing as cause and effect essay, it is important to choose a topic you find interesting, and you think it would also appeal to the reader. Both the cause and effect should be written in an exciting form. Below is a structure of how your cause and effect paper should be written.

An introduction is the most vital part of an essay. An essay would be incomplete without an introduction. An introduction can be compared to the head for it provides background information on what the writer would talk about in the entire essay. It is in the introduction part that the reader also introduces a thesis; the question he/she is trying to answer. When writing an introduction, it is necessary to make it captivating to the reader’s attention keeping in mind that it is a determinant if the reader would like your cause and effect essay or not. You could probably begin with a quote or phrase that is relevant to whatever you are writing about.

A body of your writing could be made up of three to four paragraphs.  These paragraphs answer the questions why. This is a place where the writer provides causes and effects to defend his thesis. Each paragraph introduces a new idea that is dependent to the previous paragraph. Ideas should be written in a logical manner and should flow to thrill the reader’s mind. The most important points should be presented in the form of a topic before evidence is provided. This is important because it prevents the reader from confusion while reading your work.

This is a summary of the points you have written. A conclusion should be relevant and relate to what you have been writing about. A conclusion also gives room for the writer to provide ideas and solutions to the problem being discussed. It is good to end your conclusion with a general statement that would make the reader continue to think about your work concerning a cause and effect essay.
