This is a “Negative Message” like a letter.
Compose a letter with a letter heading (return address, date, delivery address, salutation) and signature close informing the client of the poor ratings and recommend a course of action. You can make-up any relevant or reasonable background or contextual information in the opening, evidence to support your main idea in the body or action/deadline information in the close.

Task:
-Compose a letter with a letter heading (return address, date, delivery address, salutation) and signature close informing the client of the poor ratings and recommend a course of action.
-Submit an outline and message using “write submission” in blackboard or create one PDF file through the assignment link. See details below.
-You can make-up any relevant or reasonable background or contextual information in the opening, evidence to support your main idea in the body or action/deadline information in the close.

IMPORTANT:
Minimum Assignment Requirements:
 Create an outline for your message with 4 sections in outline-open/body/body/close, 3 sub-points per main point in outline (see sample outline below), include techniques used for each sub-point in outline (see table below with techniques to choose from)
• Include a formal letter heading for your letter to client.
• Include a buffer in the opening of your message and indicate in your outline which type of buffer you are using.
• Create your message with 4 paragraphs in message and 4-5 sentences in each paragraph OR ~15-20 sentences minimum total
• Try to respond to/include “who/what/where/when/why/how/how much/how often” in your message, where applicable.
Use design elements -> headings, bold, italics, tables, graphs, pictures, etc.
• Indicate which sentence is your main idea sentence (Note “main idea” in parentheses next to the sentence that reflects your main idea in your message.) Indicate which sentence you applied “you attitude” using same format as main idea.

TIPS FOR CREATING A NEGATIVE NEWS MESSAGE
* Typically for indirect approach you would include a buffer in opening and your main idea or bad news in your body after facts/evidence..
*Be “diplomatic,” show an ability to deal with people in a sensitive and effective way.
*Reduce or eliminate the need for future correspondence.
*Pay attention/anticipate/respond to reader’s feelings.
*Prevent any misunderstandings from the reader’s viewpoint.
*State the reasons for the bad news clearly in the body.
*Close with a positive statement.

Don’t forget to COMPLETE your message and do your best to include relevant details that include who/what/when/where/why/how/how much/how often, where applicable.

Create one SEPARATE OUTLINE with a SEPARATE MESSAGE and don’t forget to add the heading and signature at the start and end of your message, you don’t need to include these components with your outline. I only added examples as a sample and reminder to include with your message.
